| Sprucemtsurplus.com sells only genuine issue clothing on this website. I have yet to find a commercial product that comes any where close to the “real deal”. I have seen many “mil-spec” items, including government contractor’s commercial products, which just don’t cut it. These items are not the same as issue items. The material thread count is inferior; the stitch count is decreased and there is a lack of material treatment. The huge stitches may fail and the item may fall apart and/or the first time it is put through the wash, it may fade. In my mind, thread count and stitch count is critical and that, along with USA workmanship and material treatment, are what makes issue clothing higher in quality.If you have a special need in issue clothing, whether listed here or not, please feel free to give me a call. 518-623-9986 8 am to 8 pm eastern. |
